Jo Poe

Hilda 'Jo' Poe, 93 of Kerrville, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017. She was born on March 22, 1924 to Thomas Petruk and Kelena Guidick in Vegreville, Alberta, Canada. She married the love of her life, Otha "Bud" Poe on October 1, 1945 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where he was stationed during World War II. She became a United States citizen on December 27, 1963.\r\n \r\nJo was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 71 years, Bud; and her son, Glenn Alan Poe. \r\n \r\nShe is survived by her sister, Nell Bishop; daughter-in-law, Debbie Scott (Keith Flach); grandchildren, Erin (Michael) D'Orsogna, Gregory Poe and Hunter Scott; great grandchildren, Lily and Atticus D'Orsogna.\r\n \r\nMemorial services will be held at 10 AM, Friday, August 11, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Rev. Frankie Enloe. Burial will follow at 2 PM at Mission Burial Park North Dominion in San Antonio.\r\n \r\nJo's family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the caring staff at Hilltop Village, Peterson Hospice, and Peterson Regional Medical Center. Memorial contributions may be made to Peterson Hospice.
