Jimmy Ray Williams, 70, of Kerrville, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at his home. He was born in Terrell, Texas to Clarence and Lavona Williams on February 24, 1947. He married Charlotte Rebecca Williams on September 23, 1966 in Forney, Texas.\r\n \r\nHe graduated from Terrell High School in 1965. He worked as a sales representative for Hill Country Pest Control for 29 years. He served six years as a Specialist Four in the Army National Guard of Texas and as a Reserve of the Army, during which, he was awarded the Expert Badge with Rifle Bar and the Texas Faithful Service Medal. He loved coaching youth baseball and adult men's softball teams for many years. He enjoyed watching Schreiner College Baseball in the late 80's and spending time with the players. In his later years, he enjoyed playing golf with many of the players he had coached. His favorite hobby was woodworking. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.\r\n \r\nJimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lavona Williams and his sister, Martha Kay Williams.\r\n \r\nJimmy is survived by his wife, Charlotte of 51 years; his son, Lonny Williams and his wife Amy; his sister, Alice Kay Patton and her husband Charles; his granddaughter, Kaylee Roach and her husband PO3 Daniel Roach of the US Navy; his grandson, Jyles Williams; his nephew, Wesley Patton and his wife Deborah; his niece, Tammy Cepak and her husband David; his nephew, Shawn Patton and his wife Deena; and extended family.\r\n \r\nFuneral services will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Frankie Enloe, of Turtle Creek Community Church, officiating.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.\r\n
