James Allan "Jimmy" Rettko of Lakehills, joined his heavenly Father on Sunday, August 16, 2015 in San Antonio.\r\n\r\nHe was born in Mt. Clements, MI to Kenneth and Leone Rettko on March 21, 1961. He married Deborah Pagel on December 20, 1986 in Pipe Creek, Texas. \r\n\r\nHe attended Bandera High School. Jimmy was a jack-of-all-trades from a gas station attendant at D & H Automotive for many years. Plumbing, mechanic work, to being a pyro technician at Sea World. But his love and gift was cooking. He was chef at many restarants in the Lakehills and Bandera area. He was currently employed at Thousand Trails as supervior of Top of the Trail Cafe and had been there for many years. Jimmy looked forward to volunteering at the Lakehills Cajun Fest for many years.\r\n\r\nJimmy is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Rettko Sr.; and brothers, Kenneth Rettko Jr. and Andrew Rettko. \r\n\r\nJimmy is survived by his wife, Debbie from Lakehills; mother, Leone Rettko of Spring Valley, IL; brother, Raymond Rettko of Spring Valley, IL; sisters, Karan Player of Spring Valley, IL and Julie Walters and husband Jim of Mendota, IL; best friend, Peter Sheridan of Lakehills; sisters-in-law, Donna Pennington and husband Daniel of Pensacola, FL, and Alice Rettko of Lakehills; brothers-in-Law, Danny Pagel of San Antonio, David Pagel and wife Michele of Castroville, and Darren Pagel and wife Rhonda of St. Hedwig, TX; nephews, Kenny Rettko and wife, Becca of Lakehills and Andrew Player of Spring Valley, IL; nieces, Sara Pagel of Castroville, Savannah Player of Spring Valley, IL and Haley Walters of Mendota, IL.\r\n\r\nWe will be celebrating his life at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera, Texas on Thursday, August 20th at 10:00 A.M.\r\n\r\nThe family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the nurses and doctors at the Methodist Hospital, 4th floor MICU, for their outstanding care for Jimmy and his family.\r\n
