Jimmie Christopher Masterson (Chris) 75 of Lawton, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at home on May 7,2023 in Medina, Texas after battling a long illness.
He was born in Lawton, Oklahoma to William and Ruth Masterson on January 9,1948. He married Sandy Anderson on June 28,1969 in the New Post Chapel at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
Chris attended Eisenhower high school where he played both basketball and football, then graduated from. Cameron University in Lawton with a bachelor of arts degree in education.
Chris then went on to a successful high school coaching career. He loved mentoring and shaping young minds. After 10 years of coaching, he transitioned to work in the private business sector for Red River Service Corporation until his retirement in 2018.
You could always find him either reading, fishing, hunting, watching horse racing or spending time with family.
Chris is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill Masterson. Chris is survived by his wife Sandy Masterson, his daughter Kristen (David) King and granddaughters Hadley and Neily King. He is also survived by his sisters Stephanie Clusiau and Melissa (Dan) Cranfill and by extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Since Chris enjoyed fishing and hunting, he would have loved memorials be sent to Texas Parks and Wildlife Youth Hunting Program. Donations can be made at this site.
