Jim Wayne Taylor, 72, of Kerrville, Texas passed away on September 3, 2019 at home.\r\n\r\nHe was born in San Antonio, Texas to Jack Lewis Taylor and Marcia Nan (Jill) Taylor on May 9, 1947.\r\n\r\nJim was a graduate of Tivy High School and went on to Texas A&M University where he was a walk-on football player his freshman and sophomore years. He was a member of the Corp. of Cadets and graduated in 1969 as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army where he served for two years. He was a broker at Merrill Lynch before becoming self-employed.\r\n\r\nJim was predeceased by his father, Jack Lewis Taylor. He is survived by his mother Marcia Nan (Jill) Taylor, his sisters Diane Taylor Farkas and husband Ed, Kathleen (Kathy) Sue Taylor, Gwen Taylor Jennings and husband Henry Lee Jennings, Jr., his nephew Lance Mikel Lidiak and wife Beth, and their children Taylor John and Elizabeth Brynn, his nieces Kathryn Taylor Jennings, Megan Jennings Coleman and husband Charlie, and their son Charlie Ray, and his nephew Henry Lee Jennings III.\r\n\r\nA graveside service for his family and friends will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery on Saturday, September 14 at 10:00 am.
