Jim Horgan, 64, went home to be with his Lord July 7 from his home in Kerrville. He was born in San Antonio to Maurice and Jean Horgan on November 23, 1950. He married Cathy McCutchen on October 24, 1986 at Southern Oaks Baptist Church in Kerrville. \r\n \r\nJim graduated from St. Mary's University with a Masters in psychology. He served the patients at the Kerrville State Hospital as Client's Rights Officer until his retirement. For the past 5 years, he enjoyed working for the Dietert Center as PAL coordinator. He worked there until he become too weak to perform his duties. Jim was a veteran of the United States Army. \r\n \r\nJim was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Jean Horgan, and his brother, Tom Horgan.\r\n \r\nJim is survived by his wife of 29 years, Cathy Horgan; son, Chris Horgan, and wife, Rachel, of Louisiana; daughter, Kelly Horgan, of New Hampshire; and son, Andy Horgan, of College Station; and a precious five month old granddaughter, Elouise Grace Horgan, of Louisiana. He is also survived by his brother, John Horgan, and wife Debbie, of Houston, and sister-in-law, Bonnie Horgan, of Missouri. Jim also had six nephews that he was very proud of: Bryan Wolfmueller, Philip Wolfmueller, Thomas Wolfmueller, Kyle Horgan, Sean Horgan, and Matt Horgan. Very special to him also were his mother and father-in-law, David and Gracie McCutchen and sister-in-law and her husband, Allenda and Chuck Wolfmueller.\r\n \r\nA memorial service celebrating Jim's life will be held at 10:00, Saturday, July 11, at First Baptist Church in Kerrville with James Ervin officiating.\r\n \r\nMemorials may be given to Peterson Hospice, the Dietert Center, or First Baptist Church of Kerrville.
