Jesus Martinez, III passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence in Pipe Creek, Texas on Thursday, February 15, 2018, just one day before his 54th birthday.\r\n\r\nHe was born in Uvalde, Texas on February 16, 1964 to Jesus M. Martinez and Alicia Gonzalez Bloodworth. Jesse served as an altar boy in his youth at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in his hometown of Uvalde, Texas. He later became a diesel mechanic in Austin, Texas. Five years ago he moved back to Pipe Creek to help care for his mother, Alicia G. Bloodworth who was battling breast cancer.\r\n\r\nJesse married his longtime love Ms. Ruth Amador, whom he adorningly called Ms. Ruthie on July 19, 1991. This year would have marked their 27th wedding anniversary.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife Ruth Martinez; three sons, Jesus Martinez, IV, Michael Martinez and Nathan Martinez; father, Jesus M. Martinez and his wife Lydia Martinez; sister, Cynthia and her husband Gary D. Billington; also numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
