Jennifer Pratt

Jennifer Gail Pratt passed away in her sleep June 1, 2017. She was taken from her family, friends, and those who loved her far too soon. Jennifer lived her life the way we all should. She was a proud mother, grandmother, teacher, wife and friend. She had a passion for life and learning. Everyone who knew her will miss her infectious smile and keen sense of humor.\r\n\r\nHer proudest accomplishments were her children, Sarah Rodriguez Miller and Clayton Rodriguez. Her kids were the light of her life. In the last love filled year of her life Jennifer welcomed a granddaughter, Charlotte Grey Miller. If you had ever seen the two together, you know Charlotte was quickly replacing Sarah and Clayton as number one. Jennifer "Nana" was an incredible grandmother. She and her life partner, Mike "Captain" Lauer enjoyed nothing more than spending time with their granddaughter and teaching her all about the outdoors and the Hill Country.\r\n\r\nAn educator for 24 years, Jennifer impacted the lives of countless students and teacher friends. Her true passions were math and science. Mike was lucky enough to share almost 14 years of adventures and memories with Jennifer. Mike, a licensed pilot, was helping Jennifer work towards a pilot's license of her own. They loved spending time together in the sky and down on the coast in Rockport. Jennifer's life was full. She loved being an educator and was a lifetime learner who never met a day she didn't conquer. Full of energy, positivity, and a taste for adventure her soul will forever live on in her family. With a strong sense for right and wrong Jennifer believed if you watched your moral compass close enough, you would never lose your way. It is safe to say the world would be a better place if we could all have a little more Jennifer Pratt in us.\r\n\r\nJennifer was preceded in death by her father, Chuck Pratt. She lives on in her daughter and son in law Sarah and Dallas Miller and their daughter Charlotte, her son and daughter in law Christie and Clayton Rodriguez, her brother and sister in law Jim and Kathy Pratt, her mother Gail "Money" Pratt and her life partner Mike Lauer.\r\n \r\nFuneral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.\r\n\r\n\r\n
