James "Jim" Carroll Webb, born July 5, 1949, passed away August 25, 2017. Jim was born in El Campo, Texas at Nightingale Hospital. \r\n \r\nHe graduated from El Campo High School in 1968 and went on to attend Wharton County Junior College in 1969. Jim worked for MO Ranch for 15 years and retired at 62. Jim was always busy after retirement and continued working random jobs, painting, and carpentry work. \r\n \r\nJim especially enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and many memories were made seining for bait and fishing in Matagorda Bay. The family beach house on Magnolia Beach was one of his favorite places where friends and family gathered for good times. He loved talking about his trips to see his boys, Jonathan and Michael, in New Hampshire.\r\n \r\nJim was a resident of Kerrville, Texas. One of his favorite stops was Buc-ee's when he was on the road for his morning coffee or afternoon tea. Jim was dearly liked by all who met him and will be greatly missed.\r\n \r\nJim is survived by his children, Jonathan Webb and Michael Webb; his grandchildren, Colton Webb and Liam Webb; his sister, Nancy Ann Webb Cory and brother-in-law, Richard Leroy Cory; niece, Rachel Marie Cory-Rickett; and nephew, Chad Everett Cory. \r\n \r\nJim was preceded in death by his parents, Mack "Bubba" Duson Webb and Martha Nell Beddingfield Webb; grandparents, Captain James Claude Beddingfield Sr., Nellie Grey Neighbors Beddingfield, Mack J. Webb and Grace Marie Ruddell Webb.\r\n \r\nPrivate services will be held at a later date.\r\n\r\n
