Surrounded by his loving family, James "Warren" Wagner, affectionately known as Pop, 83, passed away early Tuesday morning November 13, 2018. \r\n \r\nHe will be dearly missed by his wife of 59 years, Aleen Wagner; son, J.D. Wagner (Duronda); daughter, Maureen Muncie (Jim); brother, Roy Dean Wagner; seven grandchildren, Jamie Emery (Shade), Jacob Wagner (Shannda), Mikayla Wagner, Nichole Nelson (Lee), Bunny Muncie, Katy Jo Muncie, and Josh Berg; and seven great-grandchildren, Huntley and Jinx Emery, McKenna Wagner, Cade, Cole and Grace Nelson and Dallas Berg.\r\n\r\nWarren proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and carried the lessons he learned with him throughout his life. Truly an outdoorsman, Warren dedicated his life and career to doing what he loved, retiring from the State of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department with 27 years. \r\n\r\nWarren spent his golden years in the Texas Hill Country cherishing time with family and doing what he loved most, hog hunting/trapping and keeping history alive with his passion for flintknapping, arrow heads and passing on his knowledge. All the hogs in the Hill Country can rest easy knowing a legend has moved on to the happy hunting ground. \r\n\r\nServices will be held at 10 AM, Friday, November 16, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Rev. Frankie Enloe. Interment will follow at Edge Cemetery in Kendalia, TX.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Texas Bighorn Society, Texasbighornsociety.org/donate.\r\n
