James Thomas Rawlinson, died November 4, 2016 in Fredericksburg, Texas. He was born May 18, 1937 in Delta, Utah to James Clemont Rawlinson and Grace Howes Rawlinson.\r\n \r\nHe married Mary Rose "Mare Mare" Margiotta on September 1, 1984 and they were inseparable since their first blind date on April 4, 1984. He had three feline daughters, Maggie, Hannah, and Gabby, and many other felines over the years he was Papa Cat to.\r\n \r\nHe was employed by Utah Power and Light for 45 years.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include wife, Mare Mare; special friends, Cathy Cook and family; numerous nieces and nephews in Southern California, Texas and Oklahoma who all loved their Uncle Jim; California brothers, Angelo, Pete and John; his very special Utah brothers - the Avenues Brats in Salt Lake City, Utah; and cousins in Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Texas, and Oregon.\r\n \r\nMy sweet Bearded Romeo (Jimmy, Chime, Rawly) closed his sparkling blue eyes on this life and opened them on the other side to be welcomed by those who were waiting to welcome his arrival.\r\n \r\nFor Jimmy - going to lunch with family and friends on a regular basis, giving freely of your time and efforts to help others, keeping your relationships close, being kind to others and not expecting anything in return - were important to him. Jimmy's friends were all family.\r\n \r\nJimmy's dress code was American flag t-shirts, American flag suspenders, and jeans. Honor his memory by honoring our Country and our Flag.\r\n \r\nWe are so very thankful to the hospice staff at Hill Country Memorial Hospital and special nurse, Nikki, for their very special care of Jimmy.\r\n \r\nTo my big hearted, fun loving, thoughtful, Patriotic Jimmy - find all the great places for lunch on your side and I will join you for time and all eternity when it is my time - you are only a breath away.\r\n \r\nLive, love, laugh.\r\n \r\nA celebration of his life will be held at a later date.\r\n \r\nDonations in Jimmy's name may be made to Alzheimer's and/or Lung Associations. \r\n
