James (Jim) Dee Monsees of Kerrville, Texas passed away on December 24, 2020. Jim was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 2, 1933. \r\n\r\nHe moved to Brownsville, Texas with his mother when he was a toddler. There, his mother remarried and he was adopted by her husband, Cuban Monsees. He grew up in Brownsville and lived there until joining the Air Force where he served for four years. He was a Texas Game Warden in Eagle Pass and Floresville, Texas. He moved to Wichita, Kansas in 1979 and retired from Boeing in Wichita in 1996. Jim was a member of Midian Shrine and the Oriental Band there for 25 years. \r\n\r\nJim was preceded in death by his mother, Julianna Monsees and half-brother, Cuban Monsees Jr.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife of 42 years, Judi (Schultz) Monsees; daughters, Debbie Saylor, Judy Lovett, Tara Jordan; and sons, Matt Monsees and Tim Godfrey. \r\n\r\nMemorial services will be held at a later date. \r\n
