James "Jim" W. Barnes, 68, of San Antonio, passed away on May 4, 2016 in Fair Oaks. He was born in Fredericksburg, Texas to "Dub" and "Schotzie" Barnes on January 6, 1948.\r\n \r\nHe graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. Jim became successful in several automotive businesses and was a major contributor to the success of Dr. Pepper in South Texas. Jim spent his final years playing golf and enjoying his family.\r\n \r\nJim is preceded in death by his parents Dub and Schotzie.\r\n \r\nJim is survived by Susan Barnes, children Charissa E. Barnes and husband Felix N. Venzor, Lindsay Barnes-Murphy and Yvette Alaniz. Grandchildren Ashton Venzor, Aven Venzor, Jaclyn Murphy and Hailey Litaker.
