James Roger Alexander, age 81 of Ingram, passed away on February 18, 2021 in Kerrville. He was born in Kerrville to Doris and Milton Alexander on October 29, 1939. He married Anita Alexander on September 17, 1963 in Ingram.\r\n\r\nHe went to school in Kerrville and graduated from Tivy High School. Although he worked up to three jobs at a time, his main job was with the Texas Department of Transportation, where he spent over 43 years working with the maintenance crew, retiring as crew foreman.\r\n\r\nRoger is preceded in death by his wife, Anita; his children, Marty and Robin; his parents, Doris and Milton; and his granddaughter, Bailey.\r\n\r\nRoger is survived by his son, Walter Alexander and wife, Jan; son, Roger Jr.; along with 8 grandchildren.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Rev. Frankie Enloe. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.\r\n\r\nPallbearers will be Justin Alexander, Cobly Shackelford, Corey Shackelford, Ray Ross, AD Davis and Chad Molter.\r\n
