68 Year old James Aleman passed away peacefully October 18, 2016 at his home in Medina after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his wife Brenda Ann and longtime friends Jimmy and Theresa Miaoulis.\r\n\r\nJames was a highly decorated Marine having served three tours in Vietnam. He served with the 5th Marine Division, 5th Recon Division and Special Ops. James was honorably discharged from the service after becoming disabled during the war. He received the National Defense, Vietnamese Service, Purple Heart, Marksman and Good Conduct awards and medals.\r\n\r\nA Memorial Service will take place at the Hill Country Resort & Event Center, 17740 State Highway 16 N, Medina, TX. 12 noon, November 12, 2016. Pastor Bill Stegemueller of the Medina United Methodist Church officiating. James will be buried at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio with full Military Honors at a later date.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife, Brenda Ann, 4 daughters, 3 sons and 11 grandchildren.
