Jakie Allen Babbitt, 57, of Pipe Creek, Texas passed away on May 15, 2023, at his home in Pipe Creek.

He was born in San Antonio, Texas to H.J. and Florence Dixon Babbitt on January 31, 1966.

Jakie was a devoted woodworking craftsman and master mechanic whose talents and skills left an undeniable mark on those fortunate enough to have witnessed his craftsmanship and abilities.  Whether it was wood working, metal working, or any other medium, his abilities and creations exuded a great sense of attention to detail that was truly exceptional.  With his unparalleled expertise, he could diagnose and repair even the most complex mechanical problems, earning the respect and admiration of his peers and the people that he either helped or worked with.

Jakie possessed a generosity of spirit that endeared him to all who knew him.  Always willing to lend a helping hand whether it was fixing a friend’s car or assisting someone with a home improvement project.  His kindness and willingness to share his knowledge and abilities made him the go-to guy for whatever one may have needed.  Jakie will forever be celebrated and remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jakie is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents; Henry and Annetta Babbitt and Winthrop and Katherine Dixon, daughter; Lisa Marie, sister; Elizabeth Kay Gill, and brother; Harry Stanford Babbitt.

He is survived by his wife Kimberley of Pipe Creek, Texas, ex-wife; Cathy Casada, daughter; Jennifer Nichole Babbitt, stepson; Devon Cote’, five grandchildren: Karlee, Benjamin, Kiersten, Kyliegh, and Kailynn, very special friend, Deanna Rich, sisters; Roselie Wiggs, Alice Mummie (Charlie),  and Dyana Alvarado; brothers; Douglas Babbitt, Ronnie Babbitt, David Babbitt (Sharon), James Babbitt (Faye), John Babbitt and Fiancée Kim. 

Visitation will be held on June 2, 2023 at 10:00 am , followed by Funeral Services at 11:00am at Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel in Bandera, Texas.

Pallbearers:  John Hernandez, Mike Ferris, Devon Cote, Lance Babbitt, Chase Babbitt, Bill Halloran, Clifford Schaefer, and Ross Toman. 

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel.
