Jack H. Walters passed away on January 16, 2017 in Kerrville, Texas. He was born in Shepherd, Texas on December 14, 1920 to Quentin and Minnie (Jones) Walters. He was the second of three children. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 59 years, Charlotte (Stidham) Walters, his son, Michael Walters, his sister Evelyn, and his brother Bucky.\r\n \r\nHe is survived by his son Charles and his wife Valera (Bondesen) Walters, his daughter Jacqueline Walters, his daughter Suzanne Walters and her husband Mike Peters, his daughter -in-law Linda (Curry) Walters, his granddaughter Patricia (Walters) Fischer and her husband Steve Fischer, his grandson Matthew Walters and his wife Katherine (Kuehler) Walters, his grandson Jordan Walters and his wife Kristin (McCaskey) Walters, his grandson Chuck Quire and his wife Lynn MacRitchie Quire, and 11 great grandchildren.\r\n \r\nHe was a World War ll veteran. He served in the US Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1945 as a flight instructor in AT6's and P47D's. He was employed by Rockwell International for 35 years in various management positions in the United States and Europe.\r\n \r\nHe was active in the Episcopal Church for many years. After retirement in 1981 he volunteered his time between the Church, Meals on Wheels, and the Food Pantry in Belton, Texas. He moved to Kerrville, Texas in 2011 to be closer to family members.\r\n \r\nA memorial service will be held at 1 PM on March 25, 2017 in Temple, Texas at St. Francis Episcopal Church.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, please donate to Meals on Wheels, the Food Pantry in Belton, Texas, or Heifer International.\r\n \r\n"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
