Jack Perry

Mr. Jack Dawson Perry, age 85 of Center Point, passed away in Life Care Hospital in San Antonio on Sunday, December 11, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born June 18, 1931 in New Braunfels, Texas, the son of Charles Edward Perry and Zella Louise Shifflette Perry. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War from August 25, 1950 to June 18, 1954. \r\n \r\nJack worked at Mooney Aircraft and retired after 19 years from Sid Peterson Hospital. \r\n \r\nHe married Bobbie Ann Gordon and was married for 58 years. They had two sons, Jack Douglas Perry of Fredericksburg, and Charles David Perry and wife Jane of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Perry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles Edward Perry Jr., Arthur Lee Perry, and James William Perry; one sister, Clarice Louise Barnes; and one great-grandson, London Michael Cohen. \r\n \r\nVisitation will be held at Grimes Funeral Chapels on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 5-7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016, 1 pm, at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville, with Rev. Frankie Enloe officiating. Interment will follow at Center Point Cemetery. \r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. \r\n \r\nHe will surely be missed.\r\n
