Jack L."Sonny" Conner, 79, passed away surrounded by family at his home in Boerne, TX on June 6, 2016, after bravely fighting a long battle with cancer. \r\n\r\nHe is survived by wife, Shirley Qualls Conner; daughter, Rania Conner Baldeschwiler (Matt); son, John "Robbie" Hardy (Scottie); grandchildren, Brandon (Megan) and Brent Baldeschwiler and Logan and Conner Hardy; sisters, Maxine Conner Odom and Clara Conner (Marilyn Wiles); and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and an aunt. He was predeceased by parents, FJ "Red" and Clara "Pete" Conner; brothers, Rusty, Edward, Mickey and Charlie Conner.\r\n\r\nJack was born in Corpus Christi and graduated from Mathis HS. He was a hard-working man who was described consistently as tough but fair. He worked and then as a hobby, worked some more. He was deeply loyal and dearly loved his family, friends, coworkers and his beloved Blue Heeler, Sadie. He worked for over 20 years for H&K Construction, then many more years as a valued superintendent and inspector. His work brought the adventure of several years in South Africa for his family as well as summers of travel to many a job area where they made many life-long friends. He was a Mason for over 40 years, a member of Grand Lodge of Texas Sunset 1388 as a 32nd Degree Mason and also a Shriner.\r\n\r\nPlease join the family for visitation Friday, June 10, 5pm-7pm, Grimes Funeral Chapels, 728 Jefferson, Kerrville, TX; funeral service Saturday, June 11, 1:00 PM, at Center Point United Methodist Church, 118 Church Street, Center Point, TX and, weather permitting, interment to follow at Center Point Cemetery.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Center Point United Methodist Church, PO Box 530, Center Point, TX 78010 or Texas Shriners Hospital for Children, 6977 Main Street, Houston, TX 77030.\r\n\r\n
