Iris Mcbroom

Iris McBroom, age 89, of Kerrville, passed away on November 28, 2014 in Kerrville. She was born to Jens and Anna Hilson at home in York, North Dakota on September 16, 1925.\r\n\r\nShe met and married H.A. (Tex) McBroom in Bremerton Washington. She worked in the shipyard ammunition depot where his ship was docked for repair, near the end of WWII. They were married on September 8 1945 and were happily married for 47 years until his death in 1992. The rest of her beautiful life was spent bringing happiness, love, smiles and laughter to her family, to all who ever loved her and to all who ever met her. \r\n\r\nHeaven is now graced by her presence as Our Lord has welcomed her home.\r\n\r\nIris is preceded in death by her Husband, her parents, In- Laws, her seven brothers and two sisters along with their spouses.\r\n\r\nIris is survived by her daughter Dian Follett and spouse Danny of Kerrville, son Hal McBroom and Carolyn of Austin, daughter Susan Roberts and spouse John of Port Aransas, 8 Grandsons, 11 Great-Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews all of whom loved her and will miss her greatly.\r\n\r\nA family gathering will be held. \r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
