Hugh Patton

Surrounded by loved ones, Hugh Henry Patton passed away peacefully at home on December 27, 2014. He was 66 years of age.\r\n\r\nHe was born on November 24, 1948 in Fargo, North Dakota. Hugh spent his early years in Horace and Fargo, North Dakota before his family moved to Kerrville in 1956.\r\n\r\nHe graduated from Tivy High School in 1967 and achieved his bachelors of business from UT Austin in 1971. Hugh returned to Kerrville and started U-Name It Services which he ran in the hill country for 30 years. \r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ben and Norma Patton; his nephew, Mark Beeler; his sister, Sally Patton Martin; his first wife, Sarah Chandler Patton; and his brother, Jon T. Patton, all of Kerrville.\r\n\r\nHugh is survived by his wife, Charlotte Foster Patton of Kerrville; stepson, Scott Phillips and wife Brenda of Kerrville; stepdaughter, Erica Bloem and husband John of Austin; nephew, David Beeler and wife Marieke and sons, Kai and Ryder of Los Angeles, California; uncle, Jack D. Patton of Maitland, Florida; cousins, Bruce Thue of Manhattan Beach California, Wendy Thue Kelley of Santa Monica, California, Edward Triem and wife Barbara of Brenham; and, brother-in-law, Donald Mcbroom and wife, Anne of New Braunfels. \r\n\r\nHugh's aim in life was to make people smile, if not laugh, where ever he went. His jokes and puns will be missed by many, but his optimistic spirit and desire to make people smile will be missed by all. \r\n\r\nAn informal memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a local animal shelter or the Raphael Clinic of Kerrville.
