Howard Keene

Howard Keene, 85 of Kerrville, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Audie Murphy Hospital in San Antonio. He was born October 9, 1930 in Duquesne, PA. \r\n \r\nHoward graduated from Miami University in Florida and entered the United States Air Force, completing pilot training at Bartow Air Base, Bartow, FL. \r\n \r\nHoward married Dorothy Cooper in 1955 and they raised three children: Montye Reed of Hunt, Jaggers Keene of Florida and Marcy Vehon of Arlington, TX. He also has three grandsons and two granddaughters. \r\n \r\nAfter service, they lived in San Angelo and Lubbock before coming to Hunt where he built many homes in and around Kerrville.\r\n \r\nHoward loved to golf, hunt and fish. Howard had many friends in the building business and community. In 2007, Howard married Virginia Doughty. They lived a quiet life. Howard followed sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs, and golf tournaments on TV. \r\n \r\nHoward was a kind and generous man. Surviving friends and family mourn his death and will remember him with love always.\r\n \r\nBurial was September 4, 2016 in Hunt, TX.\r\n
