Homberto Pruneda

Homberto H. Pruneda, 79, of Kerrville, Texas passed away on October 14, 2017 in Kerrville. He was born in Kerrville to Roy and Lilia H. Pruneda on December 4th 1937. He met Dolores Pruneda in San Diego, California and they were married on December 24th 1962. \r\n \r\nHe went to school at Tivy High School. He joined the Marine Corps and was stationed in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii and San Diego, California. He was involved in the church and was one of the founding members of the Cursillos and played guitar in the Notre Dame Catholic Spanish choir since 1987 to present. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was always a great friend and never met a stranger. \r\n \r\nHomberto H. Pruneda was preceded in death by his father, Roy Pruneda; mother, Lilia H. Pruneda; and sister, Lucy Wyatt. \r\n \r\nHomberto H. Pruneda is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dolores Pruneda; children, Albert R. Pruneda (Damaris G. Pruneda), Veronica M. Tauscher (John L. Tauscher), Brenda L. (Pruneda) Jones, and Joseph D. Pruneda; grandchildren, Alexandria M. Pruneda, Albert R. Pruneda Jr., Scott W. Tauscher, Isabella R. Jones, Jordan R. Jones, and Nicholas R. Tauscher; great grandchildren, Kylie R. Tauscher, Mason L. Tauscher, and Zola L. Lemaster; sister, Hermelinda Gonzalez; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. \r\n \r\nRosary will be 6pm Friday, October 20th at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville. \r\n \r\nMass services will be held at 9:30am on Saturday, October 21st at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father Gustavo and Deacon Sonny, officiating. Burial will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery. \r\n \r\nPallbearers will be Albert Pruneda, Albert Pruneda Jr., Jordan Jones, Scott Tauscher, John Tauscher and Alfredo Ramirez. \r\n \r\nThe family of Homberto wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Audie Murphy Hospital and Peterson Hospital, nurses and doctors as well as DaVita Dialysis staff. Also a special thank you to Notre Dame church, staff and church members as well.\r\n
