Henry Postert, Jr., age 90 passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, October 4, 2018 after a long illness.\r\n\r\nHe was born September 29, 1928 in San Antonio, Texas to Annie Leora Cude Postert and Henry Postert, Sr. Henry knew what is was to grow up during the depression and was no stranger to adversity. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1948 to 1952. He served God as a devout Catholic. On June 6, 1960 Jane Kealey and Henry were united in marriage in Seguin, Texas. Henry was self employed in the field of water well drilling. He was a resident of Bandera, Texas for forty years. He was active in the Catholic Men's Club in Boerne, Texas, enjoyed fishing, playing golf and poker. He loved being around family and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather that will be deeply missed.\r\n\r\nHenry was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings Annabell, Hennrietta, Harold and Louis "Buddy"; and his wife of forty-one years Jane. \r\n\r\nHe is survived by daughters, Katherine Dennis of Pipe Creek, TX, Mary Montgomery of Homer, AK, Patricia Martin of San Antonio, TX;sons, Daniel Schaefer of Containment, Florida, Timothy Postert of Bandera, Hank Postert also of Bandera, Jon Postert of Arlington, TX; grandchildren Ashley Ibarra, Amie Rodgeway and Rachel Treiber; 4 great grandchildren.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be made to the Cancer Society.\r\n\r\nA Rosary will be held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church,10AM, Friday, October 12, 2018. Burial will be at Holy Angels Cemetery AKA Scholastica Monastery Cemetery in Boerne between 12:30PM and 1:00PM.
