Helen Norwood

Mrs. Helen B. Norwood, age 88, of Kerrville, TX passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Hilltop Village Nursing Home. She was born September 30, 1928 to Richard and Georgie Behrnes in Baton Rouge, LA.\r\n \r\nShe graduated from LSU with an Art Degree and on July 5, 1949 married Donald T Norwood.\r\n \r\nShe was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. \r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Behrnes, Jr.; and her spouse, Donald T Norwood.\r\n \r\nShe is survived by her four sons, Rob, Jay, Scott, and Russ Norwood and their families; seven grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.\r\n \r\nA visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels, Kerrville.\r\n \r\nA family graveside service will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christian Women's Job Corps, Christian Assistance Ministries, Trinity Baptist Church, or a charity of your choice, in remembrance.\r\n \r\nThe family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the care givers at Hilltop Village Nursing Home.\r\n
