Helen L. Hinesley Waller Miller, 84, went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband, Clinton H. Waller, of 37 years on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in BAMC at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. She was born in Vidaurri, Texas (Refugio County) to Virgil Marvin Hinesley and Nellie Mable (Crofut) Hinesley on March 15, 1933. She married Clinton H. Waller on March 11, 1949 in Jourdanton, Texas. After his death in 1984, she married an old family friend, Jake W. Miller, in 1985 and was married to him for 10 years before returning to her home in Kerrville. \r\n \r\nShe went to school in Bandera but had to quit after the 8th grade to go to work to help support the family of 9. The family lived on the Mayhan Dude Ranch in Bandera where she helped care for the children of guests and did whatever chores necessary to help daily operations of the ranch. It was a great way to grow up.\r\n \r\nShe and Clinton moved to California after their first daughter, Barbara H. Waller (Hneidy), was born. They had 3 more children in California, Bonnie L. Waller (Edgar Gutz), Robert C. Waller (Tricia), and Brian D. Waller. They moved to Kerrville in 1971 and purchased The Hill Country Café, a home, 10 acres in the country and a new truck. They ran the Hill Country Café for 10 years until 1981, when they retired.\r\n \r\nHelen was preceded in death by Clinton H. Waller, Jake W Miller, her brothers Virgil Hinesley and Eugene Hinesley and her sisters, Lucille Clark, Virginia Mentch, Pauline Mentch, and Blanche Knight.\r\n\r\nHelen is survived by her four children; 9 grandchildren, Amber Hneidy Jefferson (Myron), Jason D. Bitkower, Justin J. Bitkower (CPO USNAVY), Julianne Gonzales (Leo), Clinton E. Lackey, Jennifer Waller Jestel (Bill), Steven Waller (Monique), Lindsey Waller Olson (Travis), Laura Waller; 4 step-grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her younger brother, Joe Dean Hinesley (Mary) who lives in Boerne.\r\n \r\nShe is being buried at the Garden of Memories next to her beloved Husband, Clinton H. Waller. \r\n \r\nThe Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26th (day after Christmas) at Calvary Temple Church at 3000 Loop 534 with Pastor Del Way officiating. \r\n \r\nThe family wishes to thank San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) in San Antonio for the incredible care given during her last 3 weeks in on this earth. They have a very caring, attentive staff. \r\n
