Helen M Davis, 97, of Bandera, passed away on July 20, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Giddings, Texas to James and Selma Stueber on May 26, 1923. Helen was the 7th of 10 children.\r\n\r\nHelen graduated from Giddings High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Corigan Jewelry for 25 years. She was a veteran of World War II and served in the US Navy. She was member of the Methodist Church.\r\n\r\nHelen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph W. Davis, her daughter Margaret Runquist , 6 sisters and 3 brothers.\r\n\r\nHelen is survived by her daughter Linda Scruby; granddaughter, Karen Castor; grandson, Reed Scruby and spouse Tomeika and great granddaughter, Taylor Scruby.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be Friday, July 24th, 3:00pm - 4:45pm at Grimes Funeral Chapels, Bandera, Texas.\r\n\r\nGraveside Services will be Saturday July 25th, 12:00 Noon at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Columbus, Texas with Jeff Bishop of Riding the River Cowboy Fellowship officiating.\r\n\r\nMemorial may be given to Helping Hands or the Boys and Girls Club of Bandera.
