Hector B. Lozano went to be with our heavenly father at the age of 73 on September 2, 2014 in Kerrville, Texas where he had lived for the last 22 years. He was born on January 7, 1941 in Cd. Acuna, Mexico to Gilberto Lozano and Francisca Barrera.\r\n\r\nHector grew up in Del Rio, Texas and graduated from Del Rio High School. He later moved to Yolo, California where he met his future wife, Norma Irene Jaconetti, whom he wed on October 21, 1961. He and his wife were married for almost 53 years. Hector and his wife then moved back to Del Rio where he opened his own business "Lozano's Used Cars" which he operated for 30 years. He had 2 children, Mary Irene and Hector Lozano Jr. Upon closing the business he, his wife and family moved to Kerrville, where he went to work for Maldonado's Landscaping as a landscape designer for 12 years. Upon his retirement, he was known as a local artist for his paintings of wildlife. Hector used a signature name for his artwork known as "Tito" Lozano. He was also a member of the Elk's Lodge, German Dance Club and Cactus Club. Hector's favorite hobbies were fishing, hunting, painting and carving. Hector loved to take rocks and pieces of wood to carve Native American pictures.\r\n\r\nHector is preceded in death by his parents, Gilberto Lozano and Francisca Barrera; and two brothers, Oscar Martinez and Homer Lozano.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife, Norma Irene Lozano; children, Mary Irene Lozano Ortiz and Hector Lozano Jr.; grandchildren, Ruben Lozano, Cynthia Irene Lozano Contreras and Arabella Lozano; and great grandson, Leo Michael Contreras Jr.\r\n\r\nElks services will be began at 5:30 PM on Thursday, September 18, 2014, followed by a Rosary at 6 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n\r\nA memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father Gustavo Montanez officiating.\r\n\r\nThe family of Hector Lozano wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Barrington, Dr. Chancellor, Dr. Hagemeier, Dr. Chyle, Dr. Wright, Dr. Fritch and Ave Maria Hospice.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice or to the Kidney Cancer Association.\r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
