Harrison Leonard Scott passed from this earthly life to his home in Heaven on January 25, 2016 at his home in Kerrville, Texas with family present.\r\n \r\nHarrison was born January 2, 1942 in Kerrville, Texas to Edward and Lillie Scott and spent much of his younger years in the Kerrville/Fredericksburg area.\r\n \r\nHarrison graduated from Tivy High School and attended Texas Lutheran College in Seguin, where he studied for a year.\r\n \r\nHarrison worked for the Texas Department of Highways most of his life, including the Kerrville office as Lead Surveyor for the Interstate 10 project in Kerr and Kendall Counties, and in Austin as the Director of Data Management, retiring from TxDOT in 1995. While in Austin, Harrison was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where he served many years as the Sunday School Superintendent, faithfully serving his Church and Congregation.\r\n \r\nHarrison is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lillie Scott, his brother Edward Scott and his nephew John Scott.\r\n \r\nSurviving family members include a brother, William Scott and wife Barbara; a sister, Alleen Meineke and husband Bill; Ruth Scott (brother Edward Scott's wife); son, Bryan Scott and wife Cristina; and daughter, Nicole Resendez. Harrison was blessed with six grandchildren, Caleb and Abigail Scott (son and daughter of Bryan and Cristina Scott), Noah, Keira, Madison and Avery Resendez (son and daughters of Nicole Resendez).\r\n \r\nThere will be no visitations. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 30, 2016, 1:00 pm at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nIf you feel moved to give a memorial donation, please find someone in need and help them out as that is what Harrison would have done.\r\n \r\nThe family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all the hospice staff at Hill Country Memorial Hospital who provided so much compassionate and personal care for Harrison in the last few months..
