Hans "Tony" G. Kruse, 80, of Lakehills passed away on October 11, 2018 in San Antonio. He was born in Seattle, Washington to Hans Anton Kruse and Adeline Grotheer Kruse on May 2, 1938. He married the love of his life, Barbara Sue Coomer, on October 27, 1957 in San Jose, California.\r\n\r\nHe proudly served in the United States Air Force for 22 years. He and his family traveled the world through his service landing in San Antonio in 1968. In 1978 the family moved to Lakehills where Tony was active in the community and Commander of the American Legion Post 410 for several years. He was involved with the Shriner Kerr Clowns and a member of the Bandera Masonic Lodge. He was well known and liked by the community, and he was always there to lend a helping hand.\r\n\r\nTony is preceded in death by Sue Kruse, his wife of 40 years, his sister Trudy Hogg, and his brother Rudy Kruse.\r\n\r\nTony is survived by his three sons Keith (Patty) Kruse of Lakehills, Kris(Nancy) Kruse of Portland, Oregon, and Kirk Kruse of San Antonio. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jonathan(Page) Kruse, Bettisue Kruse(Andrew Perales), Kimberly Kruse, Matthew Kraker, and his great-grandchildren Dylan and Taylor Kruse, Ashton Gorman, and Sara Perales.\r\n\r\nHonorary services will be held 10:30am, Friday the 26th of October, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be given to Shriner Children's Hospital. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Windemere at Westover Hills and the critical care team at Christus Santa Rosa Westover Hills in San Antonio.\r\n\r\n
