Grace Ballard McCray, age 89 of Kerrville, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014 in a local hospital. She was born May 7, 1925 in San Antonio.\r\n \r\nGrace resided most of her life in San Antonio and was very active in civic and social organizations there, including Daughters of the American Revolution. She also enjoyed spending time at Randolph Air Force Base Officers Club. Most recently in Kerrville, she enjoyed attending performing arts at the Cailloux Center, volunteering at the Cowboy Museum, and participating in resident activities at Sterling House where she had resided for the last 5 years. She was a affiliated with St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Kerrville.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, William Jasper "Jay" McCray, Jr. on November 15, 1989 and her daughter, Marcia Karen Hinson on June 6, 2008. \r\n \r\nGrace is survived by granddaughter Mary Cornett and her husband Justin, of Houston; grandson James A. Williamson, of Brownwood; grandson John Williamson and his wife Sarah, of Dallas; James L. and Jeanie Williamson, of Kerrville; and 4 great-grandchildren. \r\n \r\nA Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014, 10 AM at Sterling House of Kerrville. \r\n \r\nMemorials may be given to Sterling House of Kerrville, 725 Leslie Dr., Kerrville, TX 78028 or to St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 320 St. Peter Street, Kerrville, TX 78028.\r\n \r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
