Gloria Tyner

Gloria Ann Tyner, 86, of Kerrville, Texas, passed way on Tuesday, June 26th, 2018 while at the Main Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX. She was born February 2nd, 1932, in London, TX, to Hubert and Angie Johnson. Marriages were to J.L. Tollett and later to Harbin Tyner.\r\n\r\nGloria graduated with honors from Junction High School in Junction, TX where she grew up and later moved to Kerrville to work as a secretary for an electrical company. She owned and operated Kerrville Pet Care Center from the late-eighties up until her death, as she maintained a boarding facility where she gave loving care to several generations of her clients' dogs.\r\n\r\nGloria was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, as well as her sister, Francis Durst of Mason, TX.\r\n\r\nHer children survive her, Hugh Lewis Tollett, of Magnolia, TX, her daughter, Patricia Renee Taylor, of Kerrville, TX and both her granddaughters, Emily Ann Tollett Dyess of Jacksonville, TX and Cori Shaye Taylor of San Antonio, TX.\r\n\r\nGloria was well loved and will be forever missed by her family. Those with hearts of gold are too soon taken from us.\r\n\r\nAnyone wishing to donate in Gloria's memory please select a rescue organization of your choice. All of Gloria's pets were rescues as she dedicated her life to the better treatment of animals.\r\n\r\nPer Gloria's wishes there will be no memorial service. Her family will bury her ashes in her family plot in London, TX at a later determined date. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the San Antonio Main Methodist Hospital trauma care unit for their considerations and excellent care of Gloria and to the VITAS in-hospital Hospice Care unit for their kindness and help to the family in a time of need.\r\n
