Glenn Wehmeyer, 66 of Harper, TX passed away at his home on Monday, May 7, 2018 in Harper.\r\n\r\nHe was born in Kerrville, TX to Elgin and Frances Wehmeyer on July 24, 1951.\r\n\r\nGlenn graduated from William Adams High School in Alice, TX and attended A&I University in Kingsville, TX.\r\n\r\nMost of his career was spent working for the Texas Department of MHMR to include the Kerrville State Hospital from 1978-1996. He also served as the Director for the Bandera Senior Center and the Dietert Claim Senior Center in Kerrville for more than a decade during the late 1990's where he covered 17 counties in Texas.\r\n\r\nGlenn was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Ted Wehmeyer of Austin, TX that passed in 1987; his mother, Frances Leinweber Wehmeyer of Ingram, TX that passed in 1999; and his father, Elgin Wehmeyer of Fredericksburg, TX that passed in 1982.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his older sister, Elaine Wehmeyer Lozier of Harper, TX; his younger brother, Steve Wehmeyer and sister-in-law Connie Wehmeyer, both of Fredericksburg, TX; 4 nieces, Fran Hanlin of Austin, TX, Laura Lozier of Dallas, TX, Robin Wehmeyer and Melissa Wehmeyer, both of Fredericksburg, TX; and one nephew, Christopher Wehmeyer of Fredericksburg, TX; 3 great nephews; numerous cousins and many friends.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be held from 5-7pm on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels, followed by graveside services at 11am, Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Harper Community Cemetery in Harper, Texas.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the charity of one's choice.
