Glenn Francis Nelson, 95, passed away in Kerrville, TX on Jan 8, 2015. He was born in Bessemer, PA to Charles and Eva Mae (Hofmeister) Nelson on Oct 21, 1919. \r\n \r\nHe graduated from the Pratt Institute School of Art and Design and worked as a commercial artist until his retirement in 1979. He was a veteran of WWII, served in the Army Air Corps and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service as a B-17 Crew Chief. He was a Past-President of the 8th Air Force, 305th Bombardment Group (H) Memorial Association and enjoyed attending many reunions.\r\n \r\nHe is preceded in death by his wife, Anne E. (Kozul) Nelson; wife, Candida E. (Arrigo) Nelson; stepson, George Donato; parents; and brothers, Charles Jr., Kenneth and Donald Nelson. \r\n \r\nHe is survived by his daughter, Lenore (Jim) Chambers; son, Tod (Lisa) Nelson; stepdaughter, Shirley (Stephen) Evans; brother, Wilbur Nelson; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.\r\n \r\nInterment and services will be held at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.\r\n \r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]\r\n\r\n
