Glenda Lavern Maxwell

Glenda Maxwell, 88, of Medina, TX, passed away on September 3, 2024.

 Glenda was born in Denton, TX on August 13,1936 to Vernan Clark and Oscar Owen. She graduated high school in 1954 before attending college in Fort Worth, TX for her business degree. Glenda enjoyed working in interior design as well as real estate. Glenda married Thomas Maxwell on June 8, 1956, in Love County, OK. She enjoyed fellowship with family and friends as well as time on her sailboat. After retiring, Glenda and Tom moved to Medina, TX where her love for horses blossomed. They competitively showed Peruvian horses and won many awards during their time on the circuit. 

 Glenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom, as well as daughters Teresa Maxwell and Selena Maxwell. She will be fondly remembered by her brother Wayde Owen in Denton, TX, grandchildren William Maxwell in Grand Prairie, TX and Kathy Parks in Kerrville, TX as well as great grandchildren and friends.

 To honor our grandmother’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite you to please privately celebrate Glenda’s memory in your own ways.
