Gladys Adams Maxwell of Kerrville, TX went home to Jesus on January 19, 2015. She lived 88 years.\r\n \r\nShe was born on June 8, 1926 in Lancaster, SC to Oscar T. and Daisy Bell Adams. Gladys married Inge Parnell "Max" Maxwell on July 14, 1945. They shared a remarkable 56 year adventure.\r\n \r\nGladys was devoted to her husband, Max and their three sons, Ken, Steve and Joe. She loved her family and friends dearly. Most important to Gladys was her relationship with her Lord Jesus. Her passion was studying His Word and being actively involved in church ministries.\r\n \r\nWith much pride she graduated with honors from North Texas State University with a Masters Degree in Education. She taught at Schreiner College, Tivy High School, Garland ISD and the Criswell Bible Institute in Dallas.\r\n \r\nGladys was one of the original directors of Beauty Control Cosmetics which later was named Mary Kay Cosmetics.\r\n \r\nShe is survived by her son, Steven Maxwell and his wife, Debi Maxwell, and Kathleen Maxwell-Rambie, all of Kerrville. Her grandchildren are Jeff, James, Austin, Price, Joel, Dobson Maxwell, Mallory Maxwell Williams, David and Dylan Madden. Great Grandchildren are Amelia, Harvi, Jacob, Hazel, Collins Maxwell and Truett Williams.\r\n \r\nRev. Frank Pullin will officiate the memorial service on Friday, January 23rd at 2:00 PM. Honored speakers will be Rev. James Morrow and Mr. Leon Cox. The service will be held at Western Hills Baptist Church in Kerrville. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories.
