Gilbert Morales

Gilbert Morales passed from this life into his eternal home on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the age of 70.\r\n \r\nGilbert was born July 27, 1948 in Kerrville to San Juanita Garza and Hilberto Moralez.\r\n \r\nHe graduated from Tivy High School. Gilbert was a man of faith, loved his family and was very strong willed. He loved music and played the bass guitar. He played music with the Momentos and other Tejano Bands and later joined the Morquecho Mariachi group. He also played praise and worship music for the Lord.\r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Reynaldo Morales.\r\n \r\nSurviving family members include his loving wife, Juanita Morales; daughters, Nadine Cerda (Roy) and Regina Morales; son, Rodolfo Morales (Jennifer); grandsons, Dylon, Devin, and Lucas; granddaughters, Seira, Abigail, Aleeza and Micah; two brothers, Richard and Roland Garza; two sisters, Mary Jane Rendon and Diana Altree; as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins. Gilbert reserved a special place in his heart for his niece, Anna Rendon.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be held from 5-6 PM followed by a prayer service at 6 PM on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nServices will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Calvary Temple officiated by Pastor Heath Way. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery. \r\n \r\nPallbearers will be Alex Aguirre, Rene Aguirre, Matthew Ramirez, Johnny Ramirez, Dylon Cerda, Elias Aguirre, Patrick Garza, and Caleb Roach.\r\n \r\nSpecial thanks to Kerrville Peterson Hospice, family friends, Joe Cantu, Penny Shaw and Janie Carrasco.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peterson Hospice.\r\n
