Jeri Myers was born May 26, 1915. She and her two sisters, Gertrude and Betty Jo, were the children of Freddie and Ally Beitel, the owners of Kerrville's only lumber company. Jeri was a high school beauty and was one of the first females to attend Schreiner Institute where she met C.R. (Rosy) Myers, her husband of 52 years. Rosy, working for Humble Oil Company, moved frequently until 1945 when the family settled in Waco Texas where Rosy established a construction company.\r\n\r\nJeri was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed tennis, bridge, reading literature, and fashionable clothing. She was an encourager, had a quick wit, a great sense of humor, and always saw the best in others. The Myers were members of First Presbyterian Church in Waco.\r\n \r\nWhen widowed in 1986, Jeri moved from Waco to be near her children. In May 2015 Jeri was honored with a 100th birthday party given at her grandson Hank Seale's, Dripping Springs Ranch. \r\n \r\nJeri is survived by her three children, Dr. Dan Myers (Kathy), Nancy Seale Bovey (Dr. Rod), and Fritzi Dupuy (Dr. Jules), 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Dr. Betty Jo Hancock \r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband Rosy, and her sister Gertrude Gordon \r\n \r\nJeri will be missed and remembered by the those who knew and loved her. \r\n \r\nA Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 6th at First Presbyterian Church in Kerrville.\r\n \r\nMemorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 800 Jefferson St. Kerrville Texas 78028, or the charity of your choice.
