George Storjohann

George Storjohann, 84, of Kerrville, Texas passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Brookdale Skilled Nursing under the care of Peterson Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.\r\n \r\nFuneral services will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bandera, Texas. The rosary will be recited before the service at 9:30 a.m. Memorials may be directed to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (https://www.michaeljfox.org/).\r\n \r\nGeorge Dean Storjohann was born March 31, 1933 in Gladbrook, Iowa. He was the son of George (Shorty) and Elsie Storjohann. George graduated from Gladbrook High School with the Class of 1951. On December 26, 1953, George was united in marriage to Minnetta Creager at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. George served his country for twenty-four years in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed his morning coffee with the newspaper, watching the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs, fishing, photo1graphy, travel and, most of all, spending time with family.\r\n \r\nLeft to cherish his memory is his wife of sixty-four years, Minnetta; and his children, Kay Bell of Kerrville, John (Debbie) Storjohann of St. Charles, Missouri and Lori Wall of Bandera, Texas; his grandchildren, Rachelle Storjohann of St. Peters, Missouri, Melissa (Sean) Verbryck of O'Fallon, Missouri, and Courtney Wall-Kasey Young of Bandera, Texas; his brother, Jim Storjohann of Galena, Illinois; his sister, Doris Hite of Madrid, Iowa; and his brother, Larry (Sharry) Storjohann of Marshalltown, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nThe family would like to extend their gratitude to Peterson Hospice and to the Brookdale Skilled Nursing Unit for the care and comfort they provided.\r\n
