George Reusch Iii

George A Reusch III, 76, beloved husband to Laura and father to his loving children, Elizabeth Reusch Keith (Robert Keith) and Frank W. Reusch, passed away on January 2, 2016 in San Antonio.\r\n\r\nGeorge was a long time resident of Bandera. He was born in Covington, Kentucky to George Reusch II and Ruth Bandendistel Reusch on October 3, 1939. \r\n\r\nHe went into the Military at the age of 17 and retired from the Army after serving for 21 years. He was awarded the following: "Army Commendation Medal"; "National Defense Service Medal"; "Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea)"; and the "Good Conduct Medal".\r\n\r\nGeorge's Catholic faith stayed with him throughout his life and as a young boy he served as an Altar Boy. He worked for the Railroad and as a Real Estate Agent. He stayed busy with his enjoyment of volunteering, playing golf and working area festivals for many years. \r\n\r\nGeorge was preceded in death by his parents George and Ruth Reusch and brother, Robert Reusch.\r\n\r\nHe is also survived by his grandsons Corey Keith, Jason Keith, Justin Reusch and Ryan Reusch; stepchildren, Jerry Walton and Kerry Walton; and his brothers and their wives, Jim and Sundra, John and Priscilla, Tom and Marcia and his late brother Robert's wife Marjorie. Sisters and Brother in Law, Pat Ischy, Sue Wiggs and Raymond and wife Vennetta Wiggs. Numerous nieces, nephews and multiple friends. \r\n\r\nA graveside service with ashes is scheduled for Friday, February 5, 2016, 2:30 PM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors.\r\n\r\nThe family of George Reusch wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all for their prayers and acts of kindness.
