George Mccarley

George Robert McCarley, age 73 of Uvalde, TX, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Peterson Regional Memorial Hospital in Kerrville, TX. He was born June 22, 1943 in San Antonio, TX to George Tyra McCarley and Atha Bee (Hendrickson) McCarley. On April 23, 1964, he married Dorothy Howard in Cotulla, TX.\r\n \r\nIn 1966, he joined the U.S. Navy and was assigned to nuclear submarines. He served on the USS Wasp, USS Sam Rayburn and USS Flying Fish. He spent six years in the military. After his service in the military, he was employed by CPL and AEP for over thirty years from which he was retired.\r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Richard McCarley.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include wife, Dorothy McCarley of Uvalde, TX; daughter, Kendall Patterson and husband, Cuatro of Kerrville, TX; son, Brian McCarley and wife, Jennifer of Georgetown, TX; sister, Sarabeth McFadin and husband, Archie of Uvalde, TX; grandchildren, Hunter Patterson, Riley Patterson, Mason McCarley and Rylan McCarley; nieces, Keri Baker, Kathy Phillips and Jill Foster.\r\n\r\nHe will be greatly missed by his friends and family. \r\n \r\nPrivate services will be held at a later date on the family ranch he loved so much. \r\n
