Gene Baird

Sidney Eugene (Gene) Baird, 80, previously of Kerrville, Texas passed away March 2, 2015 in his home in Peoria, AZ. He was born Sept 21, 1934, in Dodson, Texas to Lucile and Sidney S. Baird. On January 21, 1956, he married Wanda Louise Henderson in Borger, Texas. Throughout his career, he was a teacher, education administrator, and a salesman/manager for the Psychological Corporation.\r\n \r\nHe grew up in Collingsworth County and lived in Tennessee, Florida, New York, and Illinois before returning to Dallas where he lived 19 years before moving to Kerrville.\r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Wanda; brothers; W. C. Baird, Wendel Don Baird; sister, Patsy Boyett; and infant son, Patrick Baird.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include a daughter, Amy Lynn Baird Burrescia and husband Larry of Saint Augustine, Florida; a son, Paul Dean Baird, wife Leslie and grandchildren Thomas and Lillian of Peoria, Arizona; and a sister Dorothy McGill of Wellington.\r\n \r\nServices will be at 2:00 pm on April 11, 2015 at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Pastor Arlie Lammers officiating.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to made to Alzheimer's Association (http://www.alz.org/ or the First Christian Church, 1600 Water St., Kerrville, TX 78028.\r\n \r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
