Gary W. Wilson, 76, of Kerrville, passed away on December 29th, 2020 in Kerrville. He was born in Kerrville to Virgil and Katherine Beam on January 2nd, 1944. He was married to Joyce Wilson on August 6th, 1964 and again on June 20th, 2013 in Kerrville. \r\n\r\nHe went to school at Tivy in Kerrville. He worked as a painter and maintenance at the VA then later retired from the State Hospital. He was involved in the Elks Lodge for several years. \r\n\r\nGary was preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Katherine Beam, and son Gary Delois Wilson. \r\n\r\nGary is survived by wife Joyce Kay Wilson, daughter Lori Searcy, sisters Donna Pheil, Dianna "Cookie" Lennon, grandchildren Wayne, Brittany, Gary, Hayden, great-grandchildren Kenzie, Riley, Gracie, and several more. Two step-children, three step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, also survive. \r\n\r\nVisitation is at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville on Friday, January 1st, 2021 from 5:00 pm-7:00pm \r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held at 2:00 pm on January 3rd, 2021 at Glen Rest Cemetery in Kerrville with Pastor Sheree Harris of Saint Paul's United Methodist Church officiating. \r\n\r\nMemorial contributions may be given to the Hill Country Youth Ranch, Elks Lodge, Headwaters for Heros. \r\n\r\nThe family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Peterson Hospice and the medical team that helped with the care and support for our loved one. \r\n\r\n\r\n
