MSgt Gary A. DuPriest, USAF Ret. passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 in a\r\nSan Antonio hospital. He was 77.\r\n\r\nGary was born September 10, 1942 in Fort Monroe, Virginia to William DuPriest and\r\nVera Burrier DuPriest. He was raised in Long Island, New York and graduated from East\r\nMeadow High School. He served his country honorably in the Air Force retiring after 21\r\nyears of service. He received many awards including the Air Force Commendation Medal.\r\nGary also received a Master's degree from Southwest Texas University. He was a man of \r\nmany interests. He was very involved in the TMRA and was their Past President. He was also\r\na Gypsy retired lifer. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and opportunities to travel abroad.\r\n\r\nGary was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Billy Mack, Jr., Tootie and Gilbert;\r\nsister Patricia Vitela; daughter Wendy Gay Pope; and his former wife Barbara. He is\r\nsurvived by his wife Teresa. Their relationship started in 1995. Also surviving are daughters\r\nDonna J. Kraft and husband Mike and Coleen R. DuPriest; grandchildren Michael Kraft II,\r\nSarah Richardson, Zachary Allen Kraft, Mariska Buron, B.J. Pope, Caroline Pope and\r\nNicole Nicole Schwarz; great grandchild Berlin Richardson and other extended family\r\nmembers, neighbors and friends.\r\n\r\nA Celebration of Life will be held Friday, December 20th at Grimes Funeral Chapels of\r\nBandera at 11:00 AM with Military Honors. Rev. John Munson will officiate.\r\n
