Gary Davis

Gary Wayne Davis passed away April 11, 2020 at his home in Kerrville, Texas. Gary was born October 8, 1961 and was the oldest child of William E. Davis, Jr. and Mary L. Underwood. \r\n\r\nGary grew up in Houston, Texas and his first job was a Houston Chronicle route at age ten and continued until he was sixteen where he got a job in a local grocery store. He worked in the retail field for ten years. \r\n\r\nAfter graduation with a BS from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, he remained in retail until his mid-forties when he took on a new challenge. He began counseling at Treatment Associates in San Antonio, Texas where he counseled individuals on probation or parole teaching positive life skills. He has also worked with dairy farmers spraying cattle and selling farmers and ranchers equipment for fences. He was confident that the paper route at an early age had given him an excellent work ethic over the years. Gary moved to Kerrville in March of 2019.\r\n\r\nGary is survived by his mother, Mary, and two siblings, Gregg and Deanna. Also, surviving him are five nieces and nephews and two great nephews. \r\n\r\nHe will be sorely missed by his family for many reasons but especially for his lifelong knack of lifting up our spirits with his gift of humor.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
