Freda Seefeldt

September 3, 1925 — August 28, 2014

Freda P. Seefeldt left this earth in the hands of Jesus to live with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the age of 88. Freda was born September 3, 1925, in Tulia, Texas, the daughter of Walter Grady Wimberly and Winnie Marguarite Hodges. Freda grew up on the family ranch in Briscoe County, near Silverton, Texas. She graduated from High School in 1942 and attended Hardin-Simmons Univ. (HSU) in Abilene, TX.

\r\nIn 1943 Freda met Harold C. Seefeldt at HSU and they married in Abilene on December 21, 1944. Freda continued her education and graduated from HSU in 1946.\r\n\r\nAfter WW II, Freda and Harold lived on the family ranch until 1955 and finally settled down in San Angelo, Texas in 1961. Freda taught elementary school until 1969. She went on to be the Director of the First Baptist Church Montessori School for the next 15 years.\r\n\r\nFreda was an active member of First Baptist Church of San Angelo. She was a member of the San Angelo Genealogical and Historical Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Freda and Harold moved to Kerrville in 2001 after living in San Angelo for 40 years.\r\n\r\nFreda was a devoted wife to Harold for 68 years before he died in 2013. She loved seeing her family grow and attended as many family functions as possible. She was a godly woman who loved to share God's grace with her family and friends. Her family was blessed by her love and devotion.\r\n\r\nFreda was preceded in death by her parents, and brother John Wimberly and her husband, Harold.\r\n

Freda is survived by 2 daughters, Diana Jo and Tom Nardecchia and Jill and Race Skaggs; 2 sons, John and Janice Seefeldt and Jack and Jo Ann Seefeldt; 8 grandchildren, Gary & Liz Charlton, Mike & Christy Frantz, Peter and Ashley Seefeldt, Justin & Laurie Matthews, Michael & Stephanie Seefeldt, Joshua & Sarah Seefeldt, Jason & Jacquelyn Cunningham, Wade Skaggs and many great grandchildren.

\r\nMemorial may be made to: Harold and Freda Wimberly Seefeldt Tuba Endowed Scholarship Care of the Cowboy Band Foundation, Hardin-Simmons University Box 15220, Abilene, TX 79698.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be held Friday, August 29, 2014, 5:30-7 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n\r\nServices will be held at Sunrise Baptist Church, Kerrville, Texas on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 10 AM officiated by Rev.
