Fred H. Moseley passed away suddenly on February 22, 2016 at his home in Hunt, Texas. Fred was born in Odessa, Texas to Roy and Frances Moseley on April 1, 1943. He married Janet G. Stark on June 5, 1965 and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past summer.\r\n \r\nAfter growing up in the oil field towns of Texas and New Mexico, Fred finished high school in McCamey, Texas and always considered it his hometown. He graduated from Texas Tech and went on to a successful sales career in the oil industry. He spent 24 years with Nalco Chemical Company and worked his way up from a sales representative to a district manager. His career took the family to Saudi Arabia, Alaska, Louisiana and West Africa. Fred was a top sales performer many of those years and also active in professional organizations such as the American Petroleum Institute.\r\n \r\nSince retiring and moving to Hunt in 1997, Fred served as a member of the Hunt School District Board of Education, secretary for the Texas Tech University - Hill Country Board of Advisors, treasurer for the Hunt Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Kerrville Noon Rotary Club, and instructor for Texas Hunter Education courses and was active in many other civic organizations.\r\n \r\nFred was a 32nd degree Mason, Shriner, Jester and Eagle Scout.\r\n \r\nFred is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Frances Moseley. He is survived by his wife, Janet; sons and their wives, Fields and Robbie Moseley, and Jared and Katrina Moseley; his sister, Zanna Bickham; and grandchildren, Spencer, Madison, Emma, Austin and Ryan.\r\n \r\nA visitation will be held at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, February 26, 2016. A memorial will take place at 2 pm on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Hunt United Methodist Church with Pastor Mike Cave.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Hunt Volunteer Fire Department or Hunt Independent School District.\r\n
