Frances Keller

January 13, 1930 — February 17, 2017

\r\n \r\nOn February 17, 2017, we lost our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Frances Ann Keller was reunited with her beloved husband Edward. She was surrounded by her loving family.\r\n\r\nFrances was born January 13, 1930 in Baytown, Texas. She lived in Baytown and on the family farm until marrying the love of her life, Edward, on August 13, 1949. She first met Ed when she was 12 years old prior to his deployment to Europe in WWII. Upon his return, they reacquainted and began their journey of 66 years together. Following her husband's graduation from the University of Houston, they traveled throughout the southern states for a brief time before settling in Wyoming. While raising her two children, she was active in her community doing volunteer work for the Episcopal Church and local hospital. She was also an avid bowler, golfer and loved her bridge clubs. While living in Denver, Colorado, she worked for a local elementary school as a teacher's aid. In Salt Lake City, she worked at Skyline High School as well as volunteering for the Episcopal Diocese as their secretary.\r\n\r\nUpon her husband's retirement, they enjoyed many years of traveling throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. In 1988 they purchased the Kerrville KOA and began new careers as campground owners. Frances loved meeting people and organizing the campground activities. She was truly the heart of the business until the loss of her eyesight forced her to retire. However, she remained active and enjoyed the women's group where she made many close friends. They will truly miss her larger than life presence. \r\n\r\nFrances it is hard to imagine our lives without you. You were the glue that held our small, close family together. Your sense of humor, direct frankness and incredible zest for life carried us all through good times and bad. You were my best friend. We have so many treasured memories and promise to carry on all of the wonderful family traditions you gave us. Your stories and tales of your life and childhood will be passed on. Every word. We will never forget. Never. "When I'm calling you...will you answer true". We will, always.\r\n\r\nLeft to honor and cherish her memory are her brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Virginia Frymire; son Richard, daughter Kathleen; grandchildren, Jennifer, Constance, Sarah and Chelsea; great grandchildren, Rooney, Gracey and Lily; special friend John Rogers and his family, Kingdao, Midnight, Derrick and Kaylee; nieces, Betsy and Jean, as well as many, many friends.\r\n\r\nFuneral Services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville with Father Tom Murray officiating. Burial to follow at a later date.\r\n\r\nThe family wishes to thank the Peterson Medical Center ICU nurses and staff and especially Dr. Nisan for her medical expertise, as well as her genuine kindness and compassion. Also Grimes Funeral Chapels and Father Tom who has always been there for our family.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n
