Floyd Randolph Ridgley, Jr., age 69, went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2019. He passed peacefully at his home in Medina, Texas surrounded by friends and family. He was the husband of Tricia Hammett Ridgley with whom he shared nearly 34 years of marriage.\r\n\r\nFloyd was born February 26, 1950 in Dallas, Texas to the late Floyd Randolph Ridgley, Sr. and Anita McKee Ridgley. He is a 1969 graduate of W. W. Adamson High School in Oak Cliff and attended East Texas State University in Commerce. Floyd had a successful 35-year career at E-Systems/L3 Communications in Greenville, Texas. He retired in 2006. During his career, he traveled to many interesting destinations, including 18 months participating in the Sinai Field Mission.\r\n\r\nFloyd enjoyed traveling, camping, riding motorcycles and spending time outdoors. He volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store in Kerrville, and served on the Medina Water Supply Corporation Board of Directors. He also took great joy in spending time with each of his grandchildren often teaching them, telling stories and lovingly interacting.\r\n\r\nFloyd is survived by his wife, Tric; his sister, Patricia; his brother, John Ridgley and wife Gail; son, Adam Ridgley and wife Cheryl; son, Neil Ridgley and wife Lee Ann; and four grandchildren, Lucas (17), Julia (14), Preston (9) and Evelyn (5). His parents preceded him in death.\r\n\r\nA memorial service will take place at the Core House Ministries in downtown Medina on Saturday, March 30, 2019 beginning at 2:00 PM, where family and friends will celebrate his life and enjoy fellowship together.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 1145 Broadway, Kerrville, Texas 78028.
