Floyd Wayne Jones, 73 of Kerrville, Texas, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 in San Antonio. He was born January 22, 1948 in Three Rivers, Texas to Gilbert David Jones Sr. and Florence (Pierce) Jones. Floyd went to Delmar College in Corpus Christi where he studied small appliance repair. He was a small appliance repairer in Ingleside, Texas for many years. Floyd was a quiet, reserved man who loved music and was a self-taught guitarist. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, carving and playing the guitar. He was a wonderful son, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He met many obstacles in life and was always an inspiration to his family and friends to keep going. His family will always remember the kindness and love that was so very clear in his eyes. He looked as though he would burst with all the love built up within him. His family has many special memories of him. Even after death, Floyd was still giving as a donor. Survivors include daughters, Tammy and husband, Bill, Sheila and husband, Jon, and Melissa; sisters, Patsy Levi and Marilyn Reynolds and husband, Larry; brother, Gilbert David Jones Jr.; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was also loved by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Alex; brother-in-law, Hovey Levi Sr.; and sister-in-law, Sherry Jones. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Oak Rest Cemetery in Medina. A luncheon will be held after the service at 205 Keith Blvd. in Kerrville.
